ABOUT
BIOGRAPHY
I am Vidushi Gupta (b. 1996), a visual artist and photographer based out of Delhi, India.
My work presents a reflective and autobiographical exploration of themes centered around mental health, caregiving, and identity. The project Oscillation delves into my experience with bipolar disorder, challenging societal norms and mental health stigma through mix media. Through self-portraiture, and layered visuals, I interrogate personal narratives with emotional depth and critical awareness within larger cultural and societal context.
The vulnerable and intimate work places my art practice between art, empowerment and activism. I hope to shift the perspective on mental illness and seek change in oppressive policies that often exacerbates the struggle of patients.
