Mental Health Advocacy
Support My Art

Art helped me survive — but this isn’t just my story.

Oscillation, my long-term photo project on borderline personality disorder, silence, and stigma, has brought me to the Royal College of Art. With your support, I can take it further.

My
Story

I’m a visual artist and photographer from India, using art to speak about mental illness, stigma, and struggles. My long-term project, Oscillation, explores life with borderline personality disorder through staged self-portraits — mapping the silence, pain, and cruelty that often go unseen.

This work has led me to the Royal College of Art in London — one of the most respected art schools in the world. I’ve been accepted into their MA Photography program, where I’ll be able to grow this project into something more immersive and multi-sensory: an experience that lets viewers feel the psychological burden so many live with.

That’s why I’m reaching out — not just to fund an education, but to sustain a practice rooted in advocacy, empathy, and truth-telling. Supporting this campaign means investing in art which makes space for voices that are often silenced and proving that stories about mental health deserve visibility, complexity, and care.

P.S I can't take education loan because of my unstable employment history (thanks to my disorder) and non-existing collateral. I'm already struggling to pay medical bills.

Tuition Fee : £ 37,000 (Rs. 41.9 lakhs)
Visa & Immigration : £ 1,313 (Rs. 1.48 lakhs)

This will help me secure admission and arrange visa. I’ll continue fundraising and seeking support to cover the living expenses.

Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a mental health condition characterized by pervasive patterns of instability in mood, self-image, and interpersonal relationships, as well as marked impulsivity. Individuals with BPD often experience intense and rapidly shifting emotions, have difficulty regulating their emotions, and engage in impulsive behavior, including recurrent self-harm and suicidality. BPD impacts an individual's interpersonal and occupational functioning, and people with BPD are high utilizers of health care and are challenging to treat. Some develop transient psychotic symptoms.
